High Flyin' Father's Day
We spent our Father's Day morning soaring with the birds above the treeline. Don's dad, Dick, gave us a ride in his new plane. It's always great to see your city from 1,000 feet above. Everything seems so small.
We had a fun day. We tried to spoil Daddy. We fixed him breakfast burritos and grilled steaks for dinner. His big present was a tent. Every summer we say, "Let's go camping this weekend. Oh wait. We don't have a tent." Problem solved. We now have a 6 person tent that has room for 2 queen size air mattresses. I figure that's big enough for 2 adults, 2 kids and a Golden Retriever.
The weather was extremely hot and humid all weekend. Ivy and I were really tired and grumpy by the time lunch rolled around. One of us had an owie on our knee that we cried about for an hour (I'm better know, thanks. Kidding). We played in the pool and saw the grandpas to pass out candy and homemade cards.
