Waiting for Spring

I am chugging along each day, anxiously waiting for spring to arrive. The temp is supposed to be in the 60s on Friday and I'm hoping that will coax some of our crocuses, daffodils and tulips out of their wintry slumber.

At our house, spring is the favorite time of year. It means Easter, flowers, warm weather and birthdays. Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays. My birthday is always around, sometimes on Easter. Ivy was born on Easter. It's also the best holiday for candy - jellybeans, Peeps, truffle eggs. We have a lot of spring birthdays in the family - Don's brother and mom, me, Ivy, my grandpa and Jaden.

I am starting to make plans for Ivy's 2nd birthday party. I am thinking cupcakes this year. Maybe it will be warm enough for the kids to play outside. Don wants to get her a tiny tricyle this year. I'm going shopping soon for a little party dress that she can also wear for picture day.

Our puppy, Sasha, is doing great. She is used to the daily routine. She goes potty outside and only has an occasional accident. It will be great when the weather stays warm and we can go on walks or to the park every night.

The only sucky thing about this time of year is my work gets slow. I hate not being busy. I've been in a grumpy mood all week. I am trying to stay happy today. Idol is on tonight and it should be a good one!

  1. Hey girl!
I guess since it doesn't appear that we will be getting any snow this year...I am ready for Spring too! So, Ivy is going to be 2 years old, huh? I sure remember this age, they start to be even more fun in how they express themselves. lol! Glad to hear that Sasha is doing well. My job is slow too! Ours has a lot to do with the economy though. Lots of things going on. I am just so thankful to still have my job.

Happy Wednesday to you. My lunch hour just ended.....
