Saturday Afternoon
We got most of our tax documents back, so today I started filing our taxes. Don is in the process of ripping up old tile on our bathroom floor and putting new down. I bought a pretty new shower curtain today and maybe that inspired him to spruce up the floor.
Last week I was watching one of my favorite shows, The Dish (hosted by Danielle Fishel who played Topanga on Boy Meets World), and I they were making fun something from an infomercial called a Bumpit. I said out loud, "Oh my god, someone finally invented it!" Bumpits are plastic hair volumizing inserts that create the 60s teased up look that is popular right now. I never have any luck with teasing. No matter how much I tease or how much hairspray I use, it always falls flat by the time I leave the house. Anyway, I ordered a set and got it in the mail yesterday. Once I wash and straighten my hair, I'll try it out.
I got two big ones and two minis:
I made this really good soup last weekend. It's a creamy potato soup. The recipe called for ham, but I only had bacon. I added some cheddar cheese too and used cream to make it extra rich. Tonight I am making a beer and cheese soup. We both love beer and cheese so it's gotta be good.
Hey friend! I've really missed you! As you already know...I've had ALOT going on.
I so do not look forward to tax time. We NEVER get anything back!! Maybe this year will be different. We'll see!
I'm lovin the looks of your potato soup! Yum!
